The AWS Acquisition Story

To understand how AWS became the Goliath it is, we have to look a the critically important acquisition strategy conducted by Amazon. Critical to AWS was the E8 storage acquisition conducted by Amazon in 2019. E8, an NVME architected solution, delivered a reported 10 Million IOPS and was 1 of several NVME companies in the space that year. Add Wickr, Fig, CloudFlare and few niche cloud development companies, and AWS is born. This is a somewhat simplistic view, but accurate if you follow the history. AWS is a behemoth in the market with unlimited capabilities, and deserves the kudos for being a newcomer in 2019 and growing to scale.

If the foundation of AWS was built on E8 technology, then Oscuro AI with our NVME platform delivering 20 Million IOPS could be utilized as the foundational building block of an AWS competitor. Competition is good. Competition allows OAI to deliver fast architectures throughout the world, while ensuring privacy and data sovereignty.  Competition means AWS keeps their highly successful and profitable business model, and we keep ours - an option for those who seek an AWS, GCP or cloud provider alternative.

So, could Oscuro AI compete with AWS, GCP? Well, no-one had heard of AWS in 2018, and Google was just Internet...and Oscuro AI is just an architecture company, that is better than E8 when Amazon bought it.
